Week 1

I have finished week one and things didn't exactly go smoothly. I would like to first state I finished every move of the program even on days were time was an issue. The days of the program were Monday, Wednesday and Friday so I was not doing any moves on back to back days. On Monday I learned that the program was much harder than I thought. There are five sets to each move and though the numbers seems small by comparison to my initial test max but when all five sets are added together the number the total is much closer to my goal. For instance today the reps for pushups were 16, 21, 15, 15, and 21 none of which are difficult by themselves but when you realize it is actually 88 pushups with minimal breaks it is a lot tougher. I can finally see how it may be possible to reach 100 pushups in just 7 weeks. The biggest issue I have run across this week is time, this program is time consuming. I have been attempting to do the program during the day but every day there seems to be an interruption. One day it will be the obvious son wanting to sit on my back or getting hungry to the less common man fainting in my backyard and having to drive him to the ER for memory loss and a broken cheek bone. Since things are always happening I need to change things up next week and I am going to attempt to workout early in the morning before my son wakes up. This will solve the interruptions but brings up the issue of actually being able to get up in the morning.

Fitness test

Today is the fitness test. The goal is to get the baseline number of each move by doing each to failure. This is the order they were done in and the results.

Pull ups-8
Push ups-24
Chair dips-28
Sit-ups-30
Squats-70
Total-160

160 is a far cry from 675 so there is a lot of work that needs to be done in the next 7 weeks. I would like to point out i probably could have pushed out a few more push ups but my son of 26 pounds sat on my hack for the last couple ending my thought of hitting thirty. Other fit test stats they are of note are:

Resting heart rate: 50bpm
Weight: 190
Body fat percent: 17%

Now these numbers are all considered normal but the goals are all far from normal.
The goals:

Resting heart rate: 50bpm or lower
Weight: 180
Body fat percent: 9%

Pull ups-25
Push ups-100
Chair dips-150
Sit-ups-200
Squats-200
Total-675

Only seven weeks to hit 675
